Description : A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics, Virginia Commonwealth University. The research in our lab focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of sweet taste receptor function. We utilize computational modeling techniques, molecular mutagenesis and functional expression of the sweet taste-receptor to understand the signal-recognition and transduction mechanism of this important receptor. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
